Board of DirectorsDato' Seri Goh Eng ToonDGPN, DSPN, DJN, PJK, JP, FIBM Dato' Seri Goh started his banking career with the Midland Bank in the United Kingdom in the early fifties and Malayan Banking Berhad from 1960 to 1973. In 1973, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Ban Hin Lee Bank Berhad, Director in 1978, Acting Chairman in 1986 and then as Chairman from 1990 until the merger with Southern Bank in July 2000. He was appointed to the Board of Southern Bank Berhad on 18 October 2000. Dato’ Seri Goh was appointed as a Non-Executive and Independent Director to Aviva Insurance Berhad in May 2000 and Chairman in May 2001. He had served as a Non-Executive Director with Commercial Union Assurance Berhad from 1980 until the merger with Aviva Insurance in 2000. Dato’ Seri Goh holds a Cambridge General Certificate of Education. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia (FIBM). Among the companies which he presently serves on the Board are Pulau Pinang Clinic Berhad (Gleneagles Medical Centre, Penang) and Heng Lee & Co Sdn Bhd and its Group of subsidiaries as well as in several companies with diversified interests in investment holdings, property development and management, credit financing, warehousing and education. Presently, he is the Vice Chairman, Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of a Public Listed Company, Salcon Berhad. Dato’ Seri Goh was the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee of Directors in Aviva Insurance Berhad. He is also Trustee of many charitable trusts, clubs and associations. En. Johari Low Bin AbdullahDirector Mr. Johari is a Fellow CPA and Chartered Accountant double award winner and member of Mensa International. He has been involved in the corporate world for over 30 years, initially as Auditor with Coopers Lybrand London and Deloittes Kuala Lumpur. In 1978, he joined the AmBank Group as Internal Auditor and became the Executive Director in 1983. He was instrumental in spearheading the growth of the group to become the largest investment-banking group in Malaysia at that time. During this period, the banking group launched many firsts including bankers' acceptances, venture capital and cash management. He left in 1988 and became Group Managing Director of Raleigh and was primarily responsible for its turnaround from a financially troubled loss making bicycle manufacturer into a profitable grouping now known as the Berjaya Group. During his stewardship, he organized the then largest rights issue in Malaysian corporate history and the merger of three stock broking firms. He was involved with Prudential Malaysia as Director from 1989 to 1992 and was the co-founder of BHLB Pacific Management Trust, which became one of the largest unit trust companies in the country. In 1994, he became the Chief Executive Officer of KFC Malaysia and oversaw the largest expansion of outlets in the company's history. He is currently the Chairman of the Rockwills International Group, the first and largest will-writing franchise company in Malaysia. He was also a Director of BHLB Trustee Bhd and currently is the Director of Nam Fatt Corporation Berhad, Kumpulan Powernet Berhad and APB Resources Bhd. In 2006, Mr. Johari resigned as the Director of BHLB Trustee Berhad. He has been an active community worker in the past, having served in the Council of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Federation of Public Listed Companies, Lions Club Host and as a Red Crescent fund-raiser as well as member of the La Salle PJ School board of governors. He has also been the recipient of the Young CPA award and composer of the 'Smile' song sponsored by Malayan Banking, Tourist Development Corporation and Radio Televisyen Malaysia in the 90s. Mr. Saw Leong AunIndependent Director Mr. Saw is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd, Malaysia. He is the author of two books, "All You Need To Know About Wills" published by Times Publications and 'Guide to Planning Your Will Effectively' published by Leeds Publishers. He has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He holds an Honours Degree in Social Science from the University of Malaya. Prior to this he was the Deputy General Manager of BHLB Pacific Trust Management and has played a key role in building the company into the second largest privately owned unit trust company. In 1982 to 1990, he was with Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad and his last position was Deputy Marketing Manager being responsible for all aspects of operations, underwriting, training, marketing, development of products and agency development. During this period, he has helped set up the various branches and trained the agents on the Professional Competence Examination. He was instrumental in setting up BHLB Pacific Trust Management Berhad (BPTMB) (now known as SBB Mutual Berhad) in 1990 and left in 1995. During his time at BPTMB it became one of the largest private unit trust companies. In 1995, he played a pivotal role in setting up two companies, Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd and BHLB Trustee Berhad. Mr. Saw was promoted to be the Chief Executive Officer of Rockwills Corporation in 1996 and was the Advisor of BHLB Trustee Berhad since 1995. Mr. Saw became a Director of Rockwills Corporation and also BHLB Trustee Berhad in 1999. In 2006, he resigned as the Director of BHLB Trustee Berhad. Mr. Saw was a Finalist in 1998 for the Chivas Regal Success Unlimited Award recognizing outstanding young CEO/General Managers. He has also helped build the Rockwills brand regionally and Rockwills was recognized with the "Silver Award" for Emerging Brands for services by Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2005. Mr. Lim Sian PhengDirector Mr. Lim is a Certified Financial Planner - CFP holder and a qualified lawyer having been called to the Malaysian Bar. Prior to joining Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd in 1994, he was attached to Messrs Kean Chye & Sivalingam, one of the more established legal firms in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. He was one of the pioneers in Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd with more than 10 years experience and has played a key role in building a network of highly Professional Will Writers. He is now in charge of Rockwills International Group of Companies Human Resource, he is also the Chairperson of Rockwills Trustee Bhd’s Investment Committee and acting as the Group Legal Advisor as well. Mr. Lim is also the Director of Rockwills Business Solutions Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd which specializes in providing Financial Planning Support Services. Mr Lim holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London. Mr. Lee ChiwiDirector Lee Chiwi was called to the Bar of England & Wales as a Barrister-at-Law in 1986 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore in 1988. He also has a MBA from the Nanyang Business School (1996) and is a TEP (Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner). Since 1987, he has worked in various leading law firms in Singapore and as legal counsel for a public listed group. His areas of practice were focused on corporate, commercial and private client work. In his private client practice, he has worked with many financial and insurance professionals in the areas of estate planning, succession and trusts. Since March 2008, he has been appointed as CEO of the Rockwills Group in Singapore. Rockwills is in the business of Wills, Estate Planning, the administration of Trusts and the management of offshore corporate structures in wealth management. He has also from time to time contributed articles in various Financial Journals on topics relating to fund management, financial advisory business, succession and trusts. He has also regularly been invited to speak at seminars and conferences on matters concerning trusts and wealth management topics. Since 2004, he was appointed as adjunct faculty member of the Singapore Management University for their Wealth Management MSc Program, lecturing in Tax and Estate Planning.
